Established in 1992
Our Greystone Community of 106 lots was formed by the Greystone Homeowner Association in November of 1992 to give the residents a voice in how this community would be developed and maintained. Greystone is located within the City of Tuscaloosa, Alabama just north of the beautiful Black Warrior River and close to shouting distance from Lake Tuscaloosa. Tuscaloosa, home of the University of Alabama, is a vibrant community that offers a range of activities and cultural venues to appeal to all ages and interests. Art lovers and history buffs alike will enjoy nearby Northports historic downtown and arts community including the nationally recognized Kentuck Arts Festival. Sports lovers can always find an event at the University to cheer for and the athletically inclined can challenge themselves in one of the many marathons, road races or bike treks held throughout the year.
Life North of the River
Greystone is a traditional, family oriented community with one main, well-lit double entrance that gives our neighborhood protection from through traffic. Our beautifully landscaped common areas, sidewalks, and well-lighted streets, provide a pleasant atmosphere for walking and biking. Sevices to our neighborhood include underground utilities, garbage and trash pickup, along with curbside recycling pickup. Established covenants and by-laws maintain the overall look and feel of our neighborhood and make Greystone a desired address.
Changing Times
From a few homes and empty lots in the early 1990s to the final house going up in 2007, Greystone has become home to 106 families. As Greystone has grown, so too has the surrounding area. New shopping plazas, banks, restaurants and schools, all within a short jaunt of Greystone, continue to spring up responding to the needs of our growing community.
